WHO IS RIEL PANACHE?
Riel Panache is a description of who Uriel is as a hairstylist, woman, and mother. The humble, yet flamboyant confidence she displays in these aspects of her life, make Riel Panache more than just a title but an alter ego of sorts. Born and raised in Spanish Harlem in New York City, Uriel has always been surrounded with artistry and cultural beauty. Her upbringing allowed her to recognize true beauty in people, places, and things that may not be easily visible to most people. She began braiding hair at the age of 11 and quickly fell in love with the art form. Starting out her career, she assisted at high end salons such as Rita Hazan and Pierre Michelle in Midtown Manhattan. Uriel continued on to work as a blow dry stylist at Amika Style-blow, Drybar, and Dreamdry before relocating to Los Angeles, CA with her two daughters. Moving to Los Angeles with the desire be a well rounded hairstylist, lead her to Floyd’s 99 Barbershop where she transitioned to men’s hair. In addition to men’s haircuts, Uriel currently freelances, providing bridal services as well as hairstyling services to women at home, in their hotel rooms while on vacation, or on set at photo shoots. Uriel is grateful to be able to make a living doing what she loves. She continuously strives for ways to perfect her craft and learn new techniques. Uriel’s life experiences have guided her on her journey of becoming a well rounded and versatile hairstylist. She loves creativity and artistic expression and is excited to be able to connect with other artistic people and create something beautiful!
